  • How can beta blockers help with stage fright. blushing shaking?

Maybe it has something to do with beta blockers being able to block adrenaline (epinephrine) from attaching to beta one and two receptors which in turn reduces heart rate and blood pressure, so you don't feel like you are going through the fight or flight stage. How can beta blockers help with stage fright. blushing shaking?
Beta blockers have been called ';the musicians underground drug.'; Beta blockers block the receptors for the physical effects of a person's natural fight or flight response. The drug reduces physiological symptoms of anxiety such as pounding heartbeat, cold hands, heavy breathing and sweating.

Beta-blockers work by blocking adrenaline in the heart and blood vessels. Adrenaline speeds up the heart rate, makes the heart muscle contract more strongly, and constricts arteries throughout the body.

**Possible Disadvantages: Often social anxiety symptoms are so strong that beta blockers, while helpful, cannot reduce enough of the symptoms to provide relief. Because they can lower blood pressure and slow heart rate, people diagnosed with low blood pressure or heart conditions may not be able to take them.

The benefits of Propranolol: Used for short-term relief of social anxiety. This drug may reduce some peripheral symptoms of anxiety, such as tachycardia and sweating, and general tension, can help control symptoms of stage fright and public-speaking fears, has few side effects. How can beta blockers help with stage fright. blushing shaking?
they lower blood pressure and heart rate. So your heart wont be pounding like crazy when you have stage fright and your heart will not be working so hard.

But they're not generally used for anxiety. They're used for cardiovascular problems

Do you blush from the things you always seem to shy away from?

...no, my friend, I am beyond blushing...(sigh)Do you blush from the things you always seem to shy away from?
neverDo you blush from the things you always seem to shy away from?
    Yeah!
    Yes I do.

Do you have to match eyeshadow with lipstick, blush, outfit, ect.?

EXAMPLE: f I were to wear gold eyeshadow, would I have to wear a goldish lipgloss, bronzer instead of blush, and something gold in my outfit?Do you have to match eyeshadow with lipstick, blush, outfit, ect.?
no, it just has to look good, thanks!Do you have to match eyeshadow with lipstick, blush, outfit, ect.?
People always seem to think that you have to match your eyeshadow to EVERY lil thing! But you dont. If you wear gold eyeshadow you COULD wear goldish lipgloss but you dont have to. for clothes, you could wear colors that compliment/go with gold but you should have a couple gold accessories like earrings or a bracelet or necklaces...

so dont go crazy with ';gold'; but use colors that at least go with it!
no it dosent all have to match if u wear gold eyeshadow then wear skin tone blush and light lipgloss/stick
No- just make sure everything ';compliments'; each other.

Example: Gold eye shadow, brown outfit, clear lipgloss.

It's always fun to play around with colors- purples go well with blues, greens go well with gold, pink goes well with white.

Just experiment and see how it goes!
Too much of anything is not good, however, most make-up comes in color families that you can blend different colors together to create a nice soft look from eyes to cheeks.

Consult a make-up artist at a cosmetic counter at a department store. Or try Maybeline.com. They have great do it yourself guides. That's how I learned. When I am out people always compliment me on the make-up. They think I had a professional do it.

    Good Luck.
No. Gold is one of those neutral colors that manages to look good with any clothing. However, when all your make-up is gold it tends to look 'tin man-ish'. I say stick with just the gold eyeshadow or the lipgloss and bronzer.
I think you should try to find a color of eyeshadow that compliments your eyes. It doesn't necessarily have to match. Plus, gold is a neutral color so you don't need to match other things with it because gold will compliment lots of other colors.
I wouldn't say it needs to match, it just doesn't need to clash. I always think of makeup colors in cool colors or warm colors. I think of cool colors as those with blue undertones and warm colors as those with brown undertones. I try to keep my makeup colors, such as blush, eyeshadow, and lipstick in those color families. For example, gold eyeshadow would be considered a warm color to me. I would wear a warm blush, such as coral maybe and a lipstick with brown undertones, such as mocha or coral. I wear these warm colors when my outfit is a warm color, such as red, brown, orange, etc. If my outfit is more of a cool color, such as pink, blue, etc. I would wear cool colors, such as pink blush, lipstick, etc. I don't know if this makes any sense, but it is how I do my makeup.
i wouldnt really match my lipgloss to my eyshadow. and depends about your outfit. i know alot of girls that think that their eyemakeup should match there outfit. and sometimes its pretty like beyonce would wear pink eyeshadow with a pink dress. but you really dont have to espically if its not a good color for your eyes. and if you match like goldish makeup all over it might wash you out. if you play up the eyes, do neutral on the lips and vise versa =]
no just make sure every thing isn't too wild.
No, you could wear a gold eyeshadow and a clear lipgloss or something to that effect. If you used bronzer instead of blush you might even be able to use like a red lipstick or something vibrant like that.
You do not have to match your gold eyeshadow with everything else you are wearing. Gold isn't a colour that you match with your clothing/accessories because gold can go with anything
you can express yourself the way you want...but yes there are rules to the game. In considering your example scenario, If you wear gold eyeshadow, you dont have to necessarily match it completely to the rest of your face..but.. if you do wear that color use a blush thats has more of a light brown undertone like a light brushed Rosewood color..and for lips a nude color would work very well. As for your clothes, I have always been one to match my make up to my clothes but you can always see what matches best to what you are wearing:

Golds: Browns, reds, yellows, creams, orange

    black: blues, grays, purples

    pink: lavenders,light blues, light shimmers

I think you have the idea. Hope this helps!!
Only if you want to look like you're living in the 80's era. Throw on an oversized shirt with some leggings and big hair, and you'll be set! :)
Your make up colors are based on what you personally feel. I wear green eyeshadow with gold flecks and pinkish lipgloss and might have on something purple or orange or yellow. Just do what colors feel right.
Not necessarily, for example lipgloss can be rose, or natural color. And the whole outfit of whatever colour. e.g. if you are blond, its nice to use gold eyeshadows, rose lipstick or gloss, black eyliner and whitish or blueish clothes.

If you choose gold in makeup, when wearing something glowing, brown, or gold can look definitely stylish.

If you have a good tan gold and sparkling brown are very nice for you!
no you don't have to, some people say that you would look better that way but i personally like to have some different colors, but like gold that color can work with anything so it really doesn't matter.

also if you look in magazines, not many of them are wearing the same color eyeshadow as there lipgloss or clothes.
Wear what makes you happy. As long as you feel good about it forget what others may think. I love gold and bronze eyeshadows, i tend to wear those the most. I might wear a brown or bronze lipstick and put a goldish lipgloss on top. I think those colors bring out my complexion more. I normally dont try match up to my outfit, i just wear whatever i feel like that day. But sometimes i do try to match everything up. Like today im wearing a plum/brown shadow mix with a muted pinkish lipstick and a pinkish top so it works well.
haha.. ;) nooo^^. You would want to pick colors that are similar or go well with each other. Too much of one color would really be... too much. For example, pink eye shadow, and bold red lipstick. lol. =) you get the idea... ;)
I'd say no, because then everything blends in TOO much and you'll look bland. You want something to POP, whether it be your eye make-up, lips or outfit.

My boyfriend blushes around a girl friend of mine?

What does this mean? He'll mispronounce something, and blush around her. Then he gets his words all tied up.

What is going on? Should I feel uncomfortable about it?My boyfriend blushes around a girl friend of mine?
I blush quite easily.....it could mean nothing....My boyfriend blushes around a girl friend of mine?
yeah you should feel be concerned. he has some kind of feelings for her or he wouldn't react like that. you should be concerned about what going on when you are not around!
He probably looks upto her or thinks she's better than him. This isn't a cause for alarm, since he doesn't think of her romantically. Nope, never.
I would! When you blush it'd like a sighn of flirting!! and I dont know if you consider flirting cheating or not! but i would be mad!
As long as he doesn't try to date her, don't worry about it.
something might have happened between them. Not like anything intimate but like she may know something about him that is private. Or it might mean he likes her, but be careful not to jump to conclusions.
I think everyone here is dead wrong except the last guy: he's got a crush on her. Whether or not he'll do anything about it is another story, but given his age, I know where i'd place my bets...
always a good thing to do : keep ur eyes open!!! good luck and i hope there are no serious reasons to worry in the future
You don't have to feel uncomfortable. He likes her, and he feels uncomfortable enough for the both of you put together. That is why he blushes, and gets tongue tied when he is around her.
could be attracted to her.. but look at the big picture.. who does he go home with.. my gal gets all starry eyed at singers at live performances.. but she always goes home with ME!

basically dont react to things until there is something to react to.. if you make something of it, then you can make yourself look bad.

My gal says to me, ';it dont bother me if you look at an attractive woman (from a distance) because its a reaction. it's only when you make an Action, then I will have a problem with it'; same reason I don't mind when other guys find my gal attractive..
If he only does this kind of thing around her, then he probably has a slight crush on her, or is attracted to her in some way. My guess is that it is completely innocent and you have nothing to worry about. It is natural to be attracted to other people and it is completely natural to get embarrassed or tongue-tied. As far as you wondering ';what's going on'; - think of it like this. Does he blush around you? Probably not, because he's comfortable around you. If there was something going on with them, he would probably be comfortable around her as well and he wouldn't get embarrassed. I'm sure you don't like it, because no one likes to think about their significant other being attracted to other people, especially their friends, but it is a part of life we all have to deal with. I don't think you have anything to fear. Think about all the people you are attracted to other than him, does he have any reason to worry just because you think they're attractive?
most likely is because he thinks she's cute and does it to draw her attention
obviously the guy has a huge crush on her good luck
I don't know how old you 2 are, or how long you have been together. That will make all the difference in the world when deciding whether or not to worry.

If you 2 have been together for a long time, then I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's probably just an innocent crush. Unless things aren't well beteen the 2 of you.

If you haven't been together all that long, I might worry a little more. He might not be ';feeling it'; with you and looking for something new.

Guys are so hard to understand. And most of the time they don't even realize what they are doing. If it really bothers you that much, the best thing you can do is sit down and talk to him about it. Trust me, I have learned from my experiences that it is better to ask than assume.
He might be trying to impress your friend... give him a little credit... he doesn't want you and your friends talking about what an idiot he is....
He has a crush on her.

  • What color blush for a yellow dress?

This is a broad question and depends more on your complexion than anything else (not to mention is the dress sunshine yellow, neon, mustard, etc...)

Generally speaking, if you have yellow undertones to your skin, you could probably pull off a peach tone easily and that would more than likely compliment a sunny, yellow dress.

However, if you're more cool complected, I would stick with a baby doll pink blush just on the apple of your cheeks. (An appropriate shade would be one that looks like the color of your cheeks after you lightly pinch them.)

If the dress is more muted like a deep mustard and your complexion allows, you can always do a tawny beige shade on the cheeks with a pale lip.

Hope this helps guide you in the right direction! What color blush for a yellow dress?
Based on your complexion and preferences, either coral/peach or a dark neutral pink. I think you don't want your face to compete with your dress, and if you keep the blush muted and don't wear any shimmer you will be fine. If you want, you can wear bronzer as a blush instead which will make your face really glow. What color blush for a yellow dress?
Def. a light pink tone color! You do not want it to POP out.. show off the dress color. Clinique has a great blush if your looking to buy it : )

    Good luck!
